Specifically, the system automatically extracts information from unstructured sources like PDFs or scanned handwritten documents (such as doctor's letters and handover protocols), structuring them for interoperability. This enables seamless data exchange across various systems. This initiative addresses the critical issue of time wasted on administrative overhead in healthcare settings. Recare CEO Maximilian Greschke stated that the AI agent will take over most of these tasks and coordinate workflows across different systems. Technically, Recare plans to integrate with existing hospital IT using open standards such as HL7v2 and FHIR. The company emphasizes security and privacy by ensuring that AI inference occurs within the specific client context (mandantenspezifisch), preventing data mixing. Furthermore, a "Human-in-the-loop" architecture is implemented, requiring professional review and approval for all AI results. Recare already operates an SaaS platform for digital discharge management and aftercare, used by hospitals and care facilities in Germany. They have also integrated the voice recognition model from Voize, allowing spoken records to be directly incorporated into structured forms.
