Key challenges include fragmented services and high clinical workload, necessitating more connected systems that can leverage clinical data for improved continuous care. Despite these advances, persistent barriers include insufficient hospital infrastructure for intensive data loads, fragmentation between public and private sectors, and a shortage of specialized talent in interoperability and governance. Experts emphasize that success requires not just technology, but sustained planning, adapting implementations to local contexts, and ensuring knowledge transfer and solid governance structures. This convergence makes 2026 an inflection point for the region's health digital future.
