To ensure interoperability, efforts are focused on linking national identifiers for providers, consumers, and organizations with standardized clinical terminology. Notably, they have established an FHIR accelerator to promote the implementation of the standard, which originated in Australia. Modernization efforts also target My Health Record, adding features such as sharing aged support plans and enabling data transfer (Aged Care Transfer Summary) for paramedics moving patients from aged care to acute hospitals.
