Bundang Seoul National University Hospital has launched the 'AICON (AI Connected Care Operating Network)' demonstration project as part of the 'AX-Ready Pilot Project.' This initiative addresses the challenge that current AI deployment often involves high costs and trial-and-error when implementing individual solutions. The project aims to create a strategic, national model for utilizing medical AI across the entire patient journey. Key components include: 1) Diagnostic Support AI: Linking 10 commercially approved medical AIs for diagnosis, management, and prognosis prediction. 2) Collaboration Platform: Supporting referrals and transfers between regional medical institutions using 'CareNavi' (for patients) and 'CarePilot' (for medical staff). 3) Hospital Workflow Automation: Implementing smart ward systems with 9 solutions like voice-based electronic record automation and fall detection. Crucially, the project is built on common platforms utilizing KR-Core FHIR (Korean healthcare data standard) and MCP (AI linkage standard). This approach allows multiple institutions to share a single AI system, significantly lowering adoption barriers compared to customizing systems for each hospital. The goal is to establish a practical diffusion model applicable nationwide, ensuring that technology serves patient safety and treatment outcomes.
