Baku's Medical Data Integrated into TRƏS: Evolution of Electronic Health Records

This initiative involves transferring vast amounts of historical medical data accumulated at the Baku Health Center into TRƏS, a centralized digital system. TRƏS is designed as a platform for collecting and managing national health information according to international standards. Technically, BSM utilizes a Hospital Information System (NTİS), and the data within this system has been adapted to comply with the international HL7 FHIR standard. In addition to archived data, a mechanism is being established for new medical information to be automatically transmitted to TRƏS in real-time. Experts view this integration as more than just data migration; it enables a unified electronic health record (EHR) spanning a patient's lifetime, providing quick and secure access to information for both doctors and patients. Furthermore, the use of the national digital ID platform, "myGov ID," ensures high levels of security. This development is highlighted as crucial for standardizing and improving the accessibility of medical data in Azerbaijan, contributing significantly to the realization of a more modern, transparent, and accessible healthcare system.
