MediQuant Announces DataArk Supports USCDI Version 5 for Interoperability

MediQuant announced that its active archive platform, DataArk, fully supports U.S. Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI) Version 5. This makes DataArk one of the first data archival solutions to meet the latest USCDI federal standards. The release underscores MediQuant's commitment to staying ahead of evolving industry standards and helping healthcare organizations achieve regulatory compliance. USCDI, part of the 21st Century Cures Act, defines standardized data elements that must be accessible and interoperable. By enabling USCDI v5, DataArk ensures archived patient data remains accessible, shareable, and supportive of CURES designated record set (DRS) standards. According to CEO Jim Jacobs, MediQuant has been developing solutions based on recognizing the critical gap in active archive capabilities regarding USCDI. The support for USCDI v5 allows healthcare organizations to maintain compliance without costly system overhauls and improves interoperability with entities certified under TEFCA, such as QHINs. Beyond regulatory compliance, USCDI v5 enhances data usability for various stakeholders (clinicians, researchers, etc.). Crucially, it supports patient access and transmission of archived records through portals, mitigating information blocking risks. DataArk utilizes FHIR-enabled capabilities to streamline the integration of data from disparate sources, providing a consolidated patient record at the point of care.
