IRIS Interop DevTools: A Jumpstart into IRIS Transformations for CCDA and FHIR

Previously, utilizing IRIS's built-in CCDA and FHIR transformation functions required significant setup time and specialized product knowledge. To address this gap, the 'IRIS Interop DevTools' application has been introduced. In addition to existing XML, XPath, and CCDA Transformation environments, the package now provides dedicated setups for FHIR-SDA and SDA-FHIR interconversions. It also includes features like bubbling up of FHIR validation errors and loading required context for FHIR transforms. The DevTools feature five utilities: 1) XPath Evaluator; 2) CCDA to SDA Transform; 3) XSL Template Tester; 4) FHIR to SDA Transform; and 5) SDA to FHIR Transform. These tools allow developers to test by uploading or pasting sample data, making result verification straightforward. The application runs within a Docker container and is compatible with environments such as HealthConnect, IRIS for Health, or HealthShare UCR. This enables implementers to quickly and repeatedly test advanced interoperability features through an intuitive user interface.
