This gateway facilitates the synchronization of essential clinical data—such as availability (slots), patient information, and questionnaire responses—between the samedi platform and the hospital's FHIR server. A key feature is Availability Management: it periodically queries the FHIR server using configured service type codes to retrieve 'free' Slot resources. This ensures that the online booking platform displays accurate, up-to-date appointment times for patients. The system also handles Appointment Scheduling and Patient Management, supporting patient identification/creation and the conversion and synchronization of forms (Questionnaires) and completed responses (QuestionnaireResponses). Furthermore, it includes Change Detection capabilities using Webhooks or WebSockets, allowing real-time synchronization of changes originating from the FHIR server back to the samedi platform.
