Details
The public symposium 'Aiming for the Construction of Digital Twins in Medicine' is co-hosted by NeXEHRS and the Graduate School of Medicine at The University of Tokyo, scheduled for August 1, 2025. This event is based on the research theme SIP3-D1 from the Cabinet Office's Strategic Innovation Program (SIP), aiming to achieve cross-organizational medical information collection through building a medical data infrastructure that transcends institutional and vendor system boundaries. The program features presentations covering various topics, including development overviews by the lead researcher, integration of electronic health records and departmental information, standardization and integration of medical data using FHIR, standard template input (JASPEHR), integration of cancer clinical data, and automated acquisition of bedside information. These diverse sessions highlight efforts to build a comprehensive data foundation (Digital Twin) for Japanese healthcare, utilizing standards like FHIR. The symposium serves as a crucial platform for learning about the latest research trends and practical implementation cases addressing data linkage challenges in Japan's medical IT sector. The event will take place at the Ito Shon Hall on the University of Tokyo campus.
