Concurrently, the push to strongly include patients in the medical process demands that they have greater access to their own data. These developments led to the creation of FHIR and SMART on FHIR. This paper focuses specifically on the Health Outcomes Observatory (H2O) project's effort to establish PROs as a standard tool for patient perspective inclusion.
