DC2Vue, created by Data Capture Experts (DCE), has announced an enhanced integration with HealthLink, a secure messaging network. Building on their partnership, this integration enables digital connectivity between General Practitioners and all types of hospital and health services through API-to-API integration powered by HL7 and FHIR. The new features include bi-directional eReferrals submitted directly from GP software with instant validation and real-time tracking; secure messaging and eConsults for automated two-way communication between referring clinicians and hospital teams; and live status updates delivered back into the GP’s system. Furthermore, it supports FHIR-driven automation for dynamic workflows such as addendums, escalation, triage scoring, and smart decision rules. DCE stated that this partnership moves them closer to a unified, data-driven, patient-centered health ecosystem. HealthLink noted that this collaboration aligns with national healthcare reform goals by supporting smoother care transitions and accelerating progress toward fully automated, digital-first referral workflows across Australia's diverse care landscape. This integration aims to provide seamless digital engagement across the full continuum of care—from initial GP referrals through specialist consults, community care, virtual hospital admissions, and beyond.
