According to the Hamburg Medical Association, the handling of 'Vermittlungscodes' used for appointment services (Terminservice) will undergo significant changes starting January 2026. The previously mailed codes will be abolished, and going forward, they will only be provided digitally. With this change, the applications for the '116117-Terminservice' (retrieving referral codes and TSS billing information) are being transitioned to an FHIR® REST interface. This allows the referral code to be printed directly onto a referral slip, eliminating the need for separate postal mailing of the codes. The implementation of this system upgrade is scheduled by the manufacturer to be completed before the discontinuation of KV-Connect on October 20, 2025. However, users can continue to independently generate and print the referral codes as PDFs through the online portal.
