Odin Health successfully validated the Odin Engine’s support for New Zealand localised FHIR standards at the 2025 HL7NZ FHIR Connectathon, demonstrating its capability to meet real-world interoperability needs in the New Zealand healthcare environment. Tested in a live integration setting, the Odin Engine Cluster Edition utilized built-in HL7 FHIR NZ Base implementation and terminology configurations. This allowed for seamless data exchange with the National Health Index (NHI) FHIR API. Crucially, it also facilitated communication with legacy EMR systems that lack native FHIR support without requiring any modifications to the EMR interfaces. This successful demonstration underscores Odin Health’s commitment to delivering integration solutions that are both standards-compliant and locally adapted. Furthermore, Odin is exploring AI for automating the transformation of healthcare standards, aiming to improve development efficiency and enable smarter data exchange in the future.
