On October 24th, Biomedica participated in the 'Asia-Pacific IHE Connectathon 2025' in Tokyo, successfully completing two critical international interoperability tests. The first was DICOM SWF (Scheduled Workflow), which is a core test for medical imaging systems, verifying the completeness and accuracy of processes from patient registration to image retrieval and report generation. The second was FHIR MHD (Mobile Access to Health Documents), a next-generation standard for medical document exchange. This Connectathon was organized by IHE Japan and co-planned by MISAT in Taiwan, marking the first joint IHE test among Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea after twenty years, and the first international cross-border test held in Asia. Participating teams validated implementation results of emerging standards such as AI medicine, FHIR data exchange, image interoperability, and secure authorization. Biomedica's Taiwanese team successfully verified that an FHIR IPS (International Patient Summary) generated by a Japanese electronic medical record system could be uploaded to a Taiwanese FHIR server and fully displayed in the Daegu Metropolitan Health Management System in South Korea. This signifies that cross-border medical data exchange across the Asia-Pacific region has entered a practical application stage. Furthermore, Biomedica also developed AIXA technology for bone osteoporosis and sarcopenia analysis using medical images, which is currently undergoing applications for Japanese and Korean medical certifications. Through these achievements, the company simultaneously demonstrated its capability to comply with international standards and its concrete clinical application ability in the Asian market.
