Asan Hospital Launches Service for Patients to View and Share Medical Records

Asan Hospital participated in the 'Health Information Highway' project, led by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Industry Information Service. The service allows patients to safely view, save, and share diverse medical information—including diagnosis history, drug prescriptions, test results, and surgical records—based on their consent. Asan Hospital completed the cloud construction for this system in July 2024, taking on the role of a hub storage facility and lead organization. Patients can access this via the mobile app 'My Health Record.' Experts anticipate that this service will empower patients to manage their data as the primary owners, utilizing it for prevention and health promotion. Furthermore, it is expected to improve the quality of medical services by allowing physicians to reference records from other institutions to provide personalized treatment plans.
