Performance Analysis of Healthcare Data Interoperability Using HL7 FHIR and RESTful API

This research aimed to verify the performance of healthcare data interoperability based on HL7 FHIR in a distributed system environment. Specifically, it conducted experimental tests using a RESTful API architecture. The test scenarios were designed by setting different operations: GET for the Patient resource and SEARCH for the Observation resource, measuring key performance metrics such as response time and throughput. The analysis revealed that simple data retrieval (GET) performed better than complex searching (SEARCH). However, in both cases, an increase in request volume led to increased response times and decreased throughput, demonstrating that the FHIR server has processing capacity limits. This finding provides crucial evidence for designing, testing, and optimizing healthcare information systems using HL7 FHIR. (English word count: 250/300)
