30th HL7 FHIR Connectathon Report: Validating Exchange and Display of ePI and IPS

The 30th HL7 FHIR CONNECTATHON, hosted by Global Health Connector, took place from May 2 to May 4, 2022. This event was conducted as the third phase of the HL7 Vulcan Accelerator/Gravitate Health ePI Track and was held virtually. The Connectathon series is an ongoing initiative designed to test the exchange and display of Electronic Product Information (ePI) and International Patient Summaries (IPS) as FHIR documents across multiple projects. Each phase covers increasingly advanced product information and complex healthcare/life scenarios. The event targeted a wide range of participants, including application developers, electronic health record vendors, business development personnel, and pharmaceutical company employees interested in developing creative solutions. Through the Connectathon, technical validation regarding the exchange and display of medical information using the FHIR standard was advanced.
