This webinar focuses on HL7 FHIR, which plays a central role in modernizing data exchange in Denmark. Attendees will gain an overview of how FHIR profiles are developed and what this means for future interoperability. The session features Thea Mentz Sørensen, standard consultant and representative for HL7 Danmark. She will introduce HL7 Danmark and the FHIR SIG (FHIR Special Interest Group). This group is a forum where professionals collaborate to develop, discuss, and coordinate Danish FHIR profiles and related standards like DkCore. The work also has an European dimension, helping ensure that Danish profiles are compatible with the development of the European Health Data Space (EHDS), providing early insight into upcoming standards and requirements. Participants will learn about the practical use of HL7 FHIR, the evolution of Danish and European profiles, and how DkCore is published and updated. For solution providers using MedCom standards, following the national development of FHIR profiles and DkCore is crucial, as it affects the technical direction for interoperability and future integrations.
