HIKE Basecamp™ is positioned as an "interoperability department-as-a-service." It addresses the limitation of treating interoperability merely as a one-time IT project (e.g., standing up APIs or connecting a FHIR server). Instead, it provides new operating models and governance to ensure sustained interoperability. The service deploys a dedicated, vendor-agnostic team for each client—including leadership, solution architects, engineers, and FHIR specialists—to manage day-to-day operations, change management, and continuous improvement. This transforms interoperability from a technical project into a durable business value. It supports compliance with regulations like CMS-0057-F and CMS 9115 while also facilitating broader enterprise goals such as standardizing FHIR adoption, improving data quality, and accelerating network connectivity for providers and HIEs.
