Building FHIR Workflows in the Corepoint Engine (NEW) - Rhapsody Health

April 25, 2026Corepoint

Summary

This course aims to teach participants the fundamentals of Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) and how to build practical FHIR workflows using Corepoint. Attendees will gain hands-on skills, such as converting HL7 messages into FHIR resources and performing data operations using RESTful APIs.

Details

This is a new, one-day, in-person training course scheduled for Day 2 (October 20, 2026) of the Connect Developer Conference. The curriculum starts with the fundamentals of FHIR and RESTful web services. Participants then apply these concepts to design and implement integrations that bridge traditional HL7 messaging with modern interoperability standards. The hands-on learning covers creating, updating, and querying FHIR resources (e.g., Patient and Visit). Specific techniques taught include using POST and PUT methods for resource manipulation and querying FHIR servers using identifiers like MRN. Furthermore, the course addresses best practices for integrating processed FHIR data back into existing HL7 workflows. This training is designed for engineers aiming to build scalable, real-world interoperability solutions, requiring prior knowledge such as Corepoint Associate Certification or Level 1 training. Attendees must bring their own laptop and will have access to a dedicated training environment.
