West Coast Informatics (WCI) announced a strategic expansion of its established TermHub™ platform: a managed FHIR terminology service tailored for Healthcare Standards Development Organizations (SDOs). Historically, getting critical clinical terminology content into implementers' hands—in FHIR-compliant, semantically validated formats—required significant technical investment and operational burden from SDOs. The new TermHub offering solves this infrastructure drain by providing a production-grade FHIR environment managed end-to-end by WCI. SDOs can now deliver validated terminology content without needing to build or support complex internal infrastructure. TermHub inverts the traditional distribution model, moving from static file downloads (which required custom parsing) to direct interaction with a live service.
