Onyx Announces the Release of GLEAM β the Only API that Integrates All FHIR Resources ...
Summary
Onyx announced the release of GLEAM, a market-first enterprise API designed to integrate, manage, and query all FHIR resources across an organization. This allows organizations to easily connect their FHIR data with various care management systems for comprehensive data exchange.
Details
Onyx has released GLEAM as part of its industry-leading interoperability platform SAFHIR. GLEAM provides read access to the entire portfolio of standardized FHIR resources, centralizing data integration and querying within an enterprise setting. Its unique modular structure allows for the integration of multiple resource groups. Specific modules include: 'Gleam Claims' (accessing Carin Blue Button Implementation Guide resources like Patient, Coverage, Practitioner), 'Gleam Clinical' (providing access to US Core and PDex Clinical Resources), 'Gleam Formulary' (supporting Medication List and Medication Resource Profile data), and 'Gleam Payer-to-Payer' (for Task and Consent Resources). According to Onyx CEO Susheel Ladwa, GLEAM addresses the need for tools that allow enterprises to manage and derive value from the increasing volume of FHIR data. This capability enables connections between FHIR data and actual care management systems, thereby realizing the promise of improving patient outcomes through interoperability. Onyx itself is an established healthcare interoperability solutions provider, having gained expertise from establishing the nationβs first nationwide FHIR-based API (Blue Button 2.0) with CMS. The release of GLEAM solidifies its position in accelerating standards-based data exchange within the U.S. healthcare ecosystem.
