8th NeXEHRS Symposium Held: Discussing Challenges and Prospects of Healthcare DX

The Japan Association NeXEHRS is hosting its 8th NeXEHRS Symposium on Friday, June 5, 2026. The event aims to widely publicize the consortium's activities regarding healthcare Digital Transformation (DX) and deepen discussions on the future structure of health medical information systems. The program focuses on three main themes: 1. Challenges in implementing electronic prescriptions at university hospitals (featuring Kyoto University Hospital and Tokyo University Hospital). 2. Electronic medical record (EHR) information sharing services as part of healthcare DX (featuring MHLW and Chiba University Hospital). 3. Discussion status regarding the utilization of various health data (featuring Cabinet Office and Personal Information Protection Commission). The symposium will be held in a hybrid format, allowing for both physical attendance and web viewing. NeXEHRS works toward realizing a common platform for next-generation health medical record systems. By holding these public symposia, they facilitate discussions that incorporate not only the perspectives of researchers and engineers but also those of the general public and patients.
