Taiwan leverages its robust ICT industry and the high-quality data accumulated by its National Health Insurance system to build a comprehensive digital health infrastructure based on the '3-3-3 Framework.' This framework integrates major healthcare spaces while ensuring cross-institutional interoperability by adopting international standards like FHIR. Tangible results include AI risk prediction platforms for chronic disease management and the MediCloud system, which provides real-time patient records, facilitating a shift toward proactive care. Furthermore, beyond personal health management via platforms like 'My Health Bank,' technical advancements are evident, such as using the FHIR standard to exchange next-generation sequencing data in cancer treatment. Taiwan has established 19 national medical AI centers for safe clinical AI development and application, while also working on building trusted international data-sharing models. These efforts aim to extend medical services from hospitals into communities, realizing holistic care.
