Jameda and T2med Integrate AI Documentation into EHR via FHIR Linkage

Jameda and T2med have developed an interface based on FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources), enabling the structured integration of AI-generated documentation from Noa Notes into the patient record system, T2med. This linkage significantly reduces the manual post-processing of documents and the need for data format conversion (media breaks) that medical professionals typically face after a consultation. Initial user experiences have shown time savings ranging from four to eleven minutes per patient. The system utilizes FHIR, an international standard, which facilitates secure, structured, and cross-system exchange of medical data. T2med itself provides its own FHIR REST API, forming the foundation for this new integration. Experts note that FHIR is positioned as a key interoperability standard within the Telematics Infrastructure (TI) and aligns with the German government's push toward standardized future medical data exchange. This advancement represents a shift from traditional GDT/XDT-based methods to a more flexible, internationally connectable FHIR approach. It demonstrates how AI documentation can be seamlessly integrated into existing clinical systems without disrupting the workflow, marking a crucial step towards realizing a digitally connected healthcare provision system.
