This training was conducted under regional collaboration between HL7 and AeHIN (ASEAN Health Information Network) with the goal of providing fundamental knowledge regarding FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources), a widely adopted standard for health information exchange and interoperability. Key topics covered included FHIR fundamentals, RESTful APIs, interoperability paradigms, and profiling/conformance. Through self-paced learning modules, practical exercises, and live interactive sessions, participants gained the necessary knowledge and skills to understand and implement FHIR-based solutions. The high participation rate, including strong representation from Thailand, Nepal, Mongolia, and Indonesia, highlighted growing regional interest in digital health interoperability. This successful completion is viewed as a significant step in strengthening the region's capacity for digital health interoperability and supporting the adoption of international standards. Participants have expressed interest in advanced FHIR topics and related health informatics standards moving forward.
