Transformation from QFDD to eHealth Questionnaire Released

This document is part of the Danish eHealth Infrastructure (v3.4.1), built upon the FHIR R4 standard. The 'Transform from QFDD' OperationDefinition provides functionality to convert the DK-HL7 Questionnaire Form Definition Document (QFDD)—a questionnaire definition in a specific format—into the standardized eHealth Questionnaire resource used in electronic health records. Technically, it accepts an input of FHIR DocumentReference(s) and processes the QFDD XML contained within. It then outputs a Bundle that references both the resulting eHealth Questionnaire and Composition resources. This mechanism is crucial for transforming clinical data existing in various formats into a standardized, interoperable electronic health data structure. In Japan's healthcare IT sector, managing diverse formats of medical records and test results is a persistent challenge. A system like this—which 'maps and transforms a specific local format to an international standard (FHIR)'—is fundamentally important for establishing the infrastructure required to exchange data across different vendors or regions.
