The skin measurement technology developed by MedX aims to solve the challenges in skincare and dermatology that rely on subjective judgments such as 'visual inspection,' 'image interpretation,' and 'patient self-reporting.' The system achieves real-time, non-invasive measurements of three types of skin chromophores: melanin, hemoglobin, and collagen. This moves away from traditional subjective grading models toward building a 'quantifiable and trackable skin data' structure. MedX has accumulated over 85,000 clinically reviewed subsurface image records from more than 200,000 skin scans and possesses 14 peer-reviewed validation results. Technically, it utilizes a software interoperability architecture built on the HL7 FHIR protocol, enabling integration with electronic health record systems. Currently, MedX is collaborating with Health Partner Group to validate the utility of objective skin data using 'rosacea' as a test case. The future focus is establishing this tool as a standard measurement module in clinical and occupational health workflows, thereby proving its value for continuous use and generating diverse revenue streams.
