AnyBio and Medplum Launch FHIR-Native Integration to Cut Biosignal Care Deployment from 18 Months to Weeks

AnyBio and Medplum have jointly launched a reference architecture designed for biosignal-driven care programs utilizing wearable device data. This integration addresses a structural challenge in healthcare engineering by separating continuous biosignal processing from episodic clinical workflow management, all through the FHIR Observation resource. In this setup, AnyBio handles Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) ingestion from wearables, real-time signal processing, and the emission of FHIR Observation resources. Medplum manages the core infrastructure, including FHIR-native resource storage, care planning, and patient portal functionality. Crucially, the integration operates over a standards-based interface rather than proprietary translation layers. The reference build demonstrates remote patient monitoring programs scalable from five to hundreds of patients, achieving a dramatic reduction in development timeline from 12–18 months down to weeks. Both platforms operate under HIPAA-compliant infrastructure and support Business Associate Agreements (BAAs). This advancement highlights the power of standards-based interoperability for accelerating advanced care delivery globally.
