1upHealth Announces 1up Gateway to Simplify CMS-0057-F Compliance for Health Plans

According to 1upHealth, the new '1up Gateway' is a single, managed API and compliance layer that sits in front of an organization's existing FHIR-capable endpoints. This allows healthcare organizations to leverage their already built infrastructure without needing to migrate data or replace systems, while meeting requirements set by CMS-0057-F. The regulation mandates comprehensive compliance and market-facing APIs across multiple areas, including Patient Access, Provider Access, Payer-to-Payer Data Exchange, and Electronic Prior Authorization APIs, requiring more than just data exposure. The implementation of the 1up Gateway enables organizations to manage external entity onboarding and vetting, as well as connectivity across a shifting ecosystem (payers, providers, vendors). This serves as a solution for maintaining regulatory compliance while reducing operational burdens for plans that already possess sophisticated data infrastructure. This gateway can be used in conjunction with 1upHealth's full data management solution, the '1up Platform,' covering the entire complexity of health data ingestion, standardization, and interoperability compliance.
