Overview
LOINC (Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes) is a code system for uniquely identifying laboratory tests and clinical observations. It enables the exchange, aggregation, and analysis of test results.
Relationship with other standards
Used as the identifier for measurement items in FHIR Observation resources, etc. Complementary to clinical concepts in SNOMED CT.
